Risk Management Services
If you are responsible for the operation of a facility or a hospital you know that strong risk management is the key to reducing the risk of claim and loss. For over 25 years, the ProMutual Group Risk Management Department has been recognized for superior risk management programs and for many unique services to help facilities comply with various guidelines and to practice the best possible medicine.
High Risk Appraisals. In hospitals,
there are many departments that are considered
to be high risk, especially obstetrics,
emergency services and surgery. Our clinical
risk management representatives will perform
on-site high-risk appraisals of these
departments.
Overall Facility Analysis.
We can also perform an overall analysis of your facility to ensure
that your risk management systems are well coordinated across departments.
Our clinical risk management experts come to your facility. Here, they will
develop an understanding of your services and needs through general and
area-specific surveys and interviews with key members of your staff. They
will then review your policies and procedures and conduct an on-site
analysis to identify risk exposures and suggest strategies for improvement.
Communication. We
keep you informed about the latest trends in risk management with a
quarterly newsletter, as well as through ongoing, personalized consultative
services.
Emotional Support Groups.
For staff members involved with a malpractice claim, the impact on them can be devastating. That is why we pioneered this concept of
professionally moderated emotional support groups to permit professionals
involved in a claim or suit to confront the emotional impact of a claim or
suit on their personal and/or professional lives. The groups are
confidential and there is no cost for using this service. This can be the
difference between losing valuable staff members due to stress and keeping
them productive. Many hospital administrators tell us that this is one
of the most valuable services we offer.
