Dental Malpractice Coverage

Coverage Limits

For individual coverage, we offer limits of up to $2 million per occurrence and $6 million aggregate for any injury arising out of the performance of professional services rendered or which should have been rendered to a patient by an insured dentist.

In addition, you will be entitled to free tail coverage upon retirement, or after five years of coverage. Our policy includes $5,000 medical payments coverage and hygienists and assistants can be added as additional insureds.

Vicarious liability coverage is included. This important coverage protects you from the acts of those for whom you are legally responsible.

Medical Payments

Up to $5,000 coverage for medical expenses is provided for such items as first aid, ambulance or hospital services required because of injury caused by the performance of professional services rendered to a patient.

Additional Features

Board of Registration in Dentistry Coverage – Reimburses you up to $25,000 for legal defense costs if you must appear before the Board, if the investigation is a result of an injury arising out of professional services rendered to a patient.

Sexual Misconduct Defense Coverage – Reimburses you up to $100,000 for legal defense costs needed to defend you against allegations by a patient of sexual misconduct.
